1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Playoff ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Playoff is operated by Ashmaz Technologies. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Playoff is a tournament management platform that allows users to:
- Create and manage sports tournaments and events
- Invite and manage participants
- Track match results, standings, and brackets
- Share event information with participants via a unique event code
3. User Accounts
3.1 Admin Accounts
To create and manage tournaments, you must register for an admin account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.2 Guest Access
Participants may join events as guests using an event code without creating an account. Guest users can view event information and results but cannot manage events.
3.3 Account Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. By using Playoff, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Payments and Subscriptions
4.1 Event Unlocks
Certain features, such as unlocking additional events, require payment. Prices are displayed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) or as listed at the time of purchase.
4.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by ToyyibPay (web) or Apple App Store / Google Play Store (mobile apps). We do not store your payment details. All transactions are subject to the payment processor's terms and conditions.
4.3 Refunds
Payments for event unlocks are generally non-refundable once the feature has been activated. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at support@playoff.app within 7 days.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Enter false or misleading information about participants or events
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
6. Content and Data
6.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (event names, player names, results). By submitting content, you grant Ashmaz Technologies a non-exclusive licence to use, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
6.2 Player Names
You are responsible for ensuring you have consent from individuals before entering their names into the Service. Do not enter sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for tournament management.
7. Intellectual Property
The Playoff name, logo, and all related software, design, and content are the property of Ashmaz Technologies. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Ashmaz Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
